A bespoke order usually starts the same way, someone tells us about a person rather than a product. Maybe it's a colleague or a mum who's obsessed with her allotment, a groom who proposed at a football match, or a colleague retiring after thirty years who everyone calls by a nickname nobody outside the office would understand. That detail is the actual brief. The biscuit is just where it ends up.

This is the part of what we do that has no fixed catalogue behind it. Our design team sketch all the bespoke designs by hand before a single biscuit is iced, working from whatever you've given us, a photo, a colour someone always wears, a running joke, a pet's face. Nothing is adapted from an existing template; each design is drawn specifically for that one order, then icing, edible paint, and fine piping work are used to bring it to life on the biscuit itself.

Where the idea comes from matters more than the occasion

We're often asked what occasions we cover, and the honest answer is that the occasion is rarely the interesting part, the person is. A fortieth birthday and a leaving gift ask for completely different things once you know who they're actually for. That's true whether the order is a wedding favour, a new baby gift, a hen do prop, a retirement send-off, or something that doesn't have a neat name at all. If you're not sure whether what you want falls under "bespoke," it almost certainly does. This is the open-ended end of what we make, not a narrower version of it.

Sizes and quantities scale from 50 units, and the design process stays the same either way: sketch, sign-off, then production. We'll always show you the concept before biscuits are baked, so there's no gap between what you pictured and what turns up.

A word on timing

Hand-drawn designs take longer to plan than picking a size and colour from a set list, so bespoke orders benefit from a bit of runway, particularly around Christmas, wedding season, or exam results week, when demand for personal gifts spikes across the board. A rushed bespoke brief can still be done well, but it's worth flagging your date as early as you can rather than assuming a same-week turnaround is realistic.
